Preparing your PDF…
On iPad, Share PDF opens the system share sheet. Choose AirDrop or Save to Files. If sharing is unavailable, use Save PDF.
Write: Pencil input and mouse work immediately. Fingers navigate; they never draw ink.
Navigate: Swipe horizontally at fitted zoom to change pages. When zoomed in, drag one finger to pan; begin a new outward swipe at the horizontal edge to change pages. At the last page, swipe left twice to add a page. Two fingers always pinch and pan. Pinch with two fingers to zoom and pan. Tap Fit to return to the default view without switching tools. Pen pressure adjusts stroke width where available. The eraser removes whole strokes.
Images: Tap Image to choose Photo Library, Take Photo or Choose Files. Tap an image with one finger to select it while using any drawing tool. Drag to move, corners resize, and the round top handle rotates. Hold one finger on the image for Crop, Copy and other actions; Stretch unlocks proportions. Crop keeps the original. Pen and Highlight write over images.
Lasso: Draw around complete strokes or images, then drag the selection. Corners resize proportionally. Hold one finger on selected content for Cut, Copy, Recolor and other actions. Hold empty paper to Paste at that position. Tap the active Lasso tool again to change what it selects.
Straight lines: With Pen, draw a reasonably straight line and hold the endpoint for half a second; move to adjust, then lift to save. Short marks and curves stay freehand.
Eraser: The circle shows the contact radius at the current zoom. Touched strokes are removed in full. Hover appears only where the browser supplies Pencil hover events.
Tools: Pen, eraser, highlighter, colors, size, Undo and Redo are in the original toolbar. The Pencil squeeze Undo/Redo menu is system-controlled; this app cannot replace its contents.
Updates: New versions are checked online. When an update is ready, tap Save & reload. Never clear website data to update.
Install: Open the live URL in Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen. Open the installed app online once, and wait for “Offline ready”.
Keep your notes: Storage belongs to this browser and device. Safari and the installed app may have separate storage. Create notebooks in the installed app, and use Backup regularly. Clearing website data removes local notes.
Pages: Open Pages for previews and management. Tap a page to open it, Select for multiple pages, or ··· for page actions. Hold a thumbnail briefly, then drag it to reorder. Copy / Move transfers editable copies to another notebook. Export selected keeps notebook order.
PDF: Export PDF → wait for preparation → Share PDF or Save PDF. PDFs include paper and all handwriting. Restore imports an editable Folio JSON backup as additional notebooks.
